Frequently Asked Questions
-
What does a Nutritional Medicine Consultant do?
I work with individuals to explore the root causes behind their symptoms, particularly gut and mental health, using nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and functional testing. My goal is to support long-term healing, not just manage symptoms.
-
How is your approach different to seeing a GP or dietitian?
While GPs and dietitians play an important role, my work digs deeper into the gut-brain connection and looks at imbalances that often go undetected in standard blood tests. Many clients come to me after being told, “Everything looks normal,” but they still feel unwell.
-
Who do you work with?
I work with adults of all ages, often those experiencing:
⬩ Ongoing gut issues (bloating, reflux, constipation, IBS)
⬩ Fatigue and burnout
⬩ Anxiety, low mood, or brain fog
⬩ Hormonal imbalances
⬩ Skin issues (like eczema or acne)Many of my clients are gut-health curious and feel frustrated or dismissed by conventional care.
-
Do you offer functional testing?
Yes, I do. Depending on your case, I may recommend testing such as:
⬩ Comprehensive blood test and stool analysis
⬩ Food intolerance testing
⬩ Hormone panels
⬩ Genetic testing (e.g. MTHFR): These help us get targeted answers and a personalised plan.⬩ Gut Bacteria Testing
